Olympia Coffee’s bold new packaging elevates brand and mission
Context: Olympia Coffee is a specialty coffee brand based in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, dedicated to producing high-quality coffee while positively impacting everyone involved—from farmers to employees and the community. In a rapidly evolving coffee industry, brands like Olympia Coffee recognize the importance of aligning their visual identity with their values and the story behind their product.
Challenge: Olympia Coffee aimed to redesign its packaging to reflect its mission: offering excellent coffee while improving the lives of those involved in its creation. The challenge was twofold: create a unified visual system that worked across product lines and packaging formats, and embody the brand’s commitment to quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The design also needed to connect with Olympia’s Pacific Northwest roots and convey its core values.
Solution: We developed a packaging concept centered on “The Path to Greatness,” capturing the journey from seed to cup. This concept highlights each stage of coffee production—growing, processing, brewing, and enjoying—while celebrating the people, landscapes, and ingredients involved. A continuous line illustration wraps around the packaging, visually connecting each step and unifying the entire product range. We introduced a vibrant new color palette, replacing muted tones with a fresh, eye-catching system to differentiate coffee blends. The redesign gave Olympia Coffee renewed vitality, enhancing its visibility and appeal in a competitive market, while reflecting the brand’s mission with a bold, modern identity.
