Win Sports modernizes its brand with a new visual identity, spotlighting athletes and diversifying sports coverage.
Context Win Sports is a leading sports media channel and streaming platform showcasing Colombian sports. With a comprehensive omni-channel strategy, Win Sports connects the audience with the sports community through traditional broadcast, online streaming, and social media. The mission is to highlight the stories, struggles, and triumphs of local athletes.
Challenge Win Sports needed a new visual identity to modernize its brand and resonate with its audience. The goal was to celebrate and promote Colombian sports by placing athletes at the core of the brand’s identity. Additionally, Win Sports aimed to diversify and amplify the spectrum of sports and stories covered, unearthing new ones, and becoming a champion for sports in general. A stronger visual identity and language were necessary to achieve these goals.
Solution The new visual system focuses on celebrating and promoting Colombian sports by making athletes the focal point of the brand identity. By spotlighting their stories, Win Sports aims to turn athletes into relatable and inspiring heroes for the audience.
The Win Sports logo was redesigned, building on the previous visual identity to ensure the new identity is strong and impactful. The logo’s geometry became the foundation of the visual system. Using its diagonals, graphic elements were created to support the new identity, forming dynamic compositions that highlight a growing roster of athletes. These brand gestures, angles, and geometries communicate the idea of creating a spotlight for athletes and emerging sports. The angles also connect to the idea of victory, reinforcing the channel’s commitment to celebrating athletic achievements.
